Enterprising Young Brits 2010 Competition

Could You Be a Future Tycoon?
Starting out in your business has never been easy, and the recession has made life difficult for all businesses, especially young entrepreneurs.
To encourage these ambitious entrepreneurs, the Daily Mail is offering a £1,000 prize, invaluable publicity, and the chance to rub shoulders with Peter Mandelson and key industry figures at a glittering awards ceremony in London at the end of March with its annual Enterprising Young Brits awards.
The awards are open to anyone aged 13 to 30 in five categories:
NEW START-UP – For enterprising individuals who have started their own business, large or small, within the past three years.
SOCIAL, ETHICAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL – For ventures combining the principles of a successful business with an emphasis on social, ethical or environmental benefits.
TEEN – For anybody aged between 13 and 19 who is making their idea happen.
CREATIVE – Rewarding enterprising individuals in the creative industries such as fashion, music, design or the arts.
OPEN CATEGORY – For any young person from any industries and sector who feels their business doesn’t fall into any of the above categories.
The Daily Mail Enterprising Young Brits awards are run by Enterprise UK and supported by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Institute of Directors.
