Sub-Domains – What are Sub-Domains?

A sub-domain or child domain is the secondary domain created on top of a parent domain name. For example:
- mail.kingsolutions.com and calendar.kingsolutions.com are sub-domains of the kingsolutions.com domain, which in turn is a sub-domain of the com top level domain (TLD).
Creating sub-domains is totally free of charge.
You can research your domain name choices at any of the registrars listed in my article, ‘Where to Register Domain Names". Most of these registrars provide domain name registration, domain name hosting, FREE domain name search facilities and some even give you a FREE domain name if you accept their domain name hosting package.
